The 2019 Subaru Ascent was built for a reason. It fills a gap at the top of the Subaru SUV lineup, arriving as an all-new 3-row model with more space than the Outback (and many of its competitors). It was also built to be a Subaru, which means it comes with all the perks you expect from one. Sublime engineering. True versatility. Fastidious safety.

If you want to know more about the new Subaru Ascent, you’ve come to the right place. Let us know if you have any questions.

Introducing the 2019 Subaru Ascent

Engineering

As with all Subaru models, the 2019 Ascent comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD), a system designed to maximize traction and response time to changing road conditions. The Ascent also comes with the all-new Direct-Injection Turbocharged (DIT) SUBARU BOXER® engine, which makes 260 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque — enough to tow up to 5,000 pounds.

The Ascent is even designed to make good on its name, offering 8.7” of ground clearance and standard X-MODE with Hill Descent Control. Its high-strength steel body structure ensures a long-lasting, durable build quality, so don’t be afraid to challenge this model.

Versatility

Versatility starts with building your Ascent when you choose a bench seat for the second row or available captain’s chairs. The latter drops the total seats from 8 to 7, but its all up to you, and all seats in the second and third row will fold flat to give you a flexible space for your cargo. An available Power Rear Gate gives you quick and easy access when you need to load up.

Passengers will enjoy an available panoramic moonroof as well as Wi-Fi access and up to 8 USB ports for everyone to keep their devices charged. Don’t worry about refreshment either — the Ascent has a total of 19 cup holders. That’s enough for more than two drinks per person.

Safety

All Ascent models come standard with EyeSight®, an integrated suite of safety features that take some of the pressure off when you’re driving. This system observes the flow of traffic around you and can help keep you out of harm’s way with Pre-Collision Braking. Other active safety features like Blind-Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are also available.

For added safety benefits, you can upgrade the Ascent with the available Smart Rear-View Mirror and a 180-degree Front Camera. There are also available LED Steering Responsive Headlights, which combined with other safety proficiencies earn this car a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS.
